The Excellent Care for All Act (2010) supports long term care homes to further improve the quality and safety of care they provide for their residents.

The Act requires a yearly, updated Quality Improvement Plan (QIP). This Quality Improvement Plan is one of the ways our long term care home can document safety indicators, monitor progress and ensure transparency and accountability.

Each year at Edgewater Gardens our QIP is developed with our Mission, Vision and Values in mind. Our Vision is to provide the best rural health care. We will help ensure we reach this vision by carefully choosing set indicators related to safety and quality of residents care.

The Leadership Team at Edgewater Gardens and the Quality Committee of the Board of Governors are accountable for the QIP.
